A Boring Dystopia

When sites no longer allow you to speak out against political figures, companies, or conflicts then its time to leave. They are no longer moderating a subreddit. They are moderation information as a whole. They get to pick n choose what you're allowed to rally around and rally against. Sites like lemmy are the next step to a free and fair internet.

Corporate has stolen our internet and our money. Its time to take it back. Federated and open source is the way we do it. Dont let the money tell us what we are allowed to talk about.

We’re still in shock. My eight-year-old daughter can no longer sleep.

I tried to comfort her, to help her sleep, but she kept waking up crying. She told me, “Mama, every time I close my eyes, I feel like another bomb is falling on us.”

I lay beside her to soothe her. This morning, I discovered she had wet herself in fear.

My 12-year-old, Saida, keeps asking me, “Mama, will the planes come back again?” I have no answer for her.

How can I reassure her when I no longer believe I will wake up tomorrow?

I looked into my husband’s weary, burdened eyes and asked him, “When will this nightmare end?” He replied, “We are alone in this world. No one cares.”

Arkansa backwater jails ftw, yet again. If I was going to prison for a long time in Arkansas (or Louisiana), I would commit suicide for sure.

Her co-manager instead paid for Robinson to stay in a hotel. What was supposed to be a one night stay ended up lasting for eight months. During that time, Robinson struggled to find apartments.

Robinson then began researching "car life." She found that there was a whole community of folks living in their vehicles and "loved what she was seeing."

Now its a law to force kids to sign up for crippling life long debt in order to graduate. Fuckers want to saddle kids with this debt right out of high-school.
