We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

Good luck. I don't think you can train an AI to be subtly fascist without it going full-on Mecha-Hitler. Guess we'll see.
If they are successful, it will mean AI based over seas will be better because it's not lobotomized to spout right wing nonsense. The more you try to control the output, the less capable AI becomes, in my experience.
So... mecha hitler has now set the standard for what AI must be by law.... I hate this timeline.

He can’t even do that. Here’s what will happen:
- Pass the law.
- OpenAI moves overseas or spins off a subsidiary or sister company.
- Pass another law banning the use of foreign AI, claiming it helps them train their models.
- Companies lobby for exemptions; users resort to VPNs.
- Trump's administration demands domestic AI magically improve—but it won’t, because the talent pool (students, schools, experts) has left, and all that’s left are “prompt engineers.”
A lot of talent is already leaving - I see that China is setting up things to welcome back expats.
As always, Republicans ruin everything. They should never be permitted into office, at any level, but Taco is next-level.
You're assuming techbros are against the racism.
They are against having a product that their customers can't use because it keeps telling their customers about white replacement theory or whatever unbidden.
If there will ever be anything this current admin can do that I will agree with, it’ll b hobbling the AI industry.
Except this won't be doing that.
It'll make AI even more shitty as the everything-tool they're pretending it is, sure, but it'll still be forced on us as the people most enthusiastic about it pretty much control the entire non-FOSS tech sector.
