I haven’t seen a cursive S in years

This post is painful to read.

  1. The codec isn’t EC-3. It’s E-AC3. You forgot got the “A” which literally stands for audio. Also known as Dolby Digital Plus.
  2. If you want Spatial Audio, E-AC3 isn’t sufficient. You need JOC also. This is the spatial metadata that accompanies the multichannel DD+ audio.
  3. It’s almost guaranteed that live events won’t have JOC metadata attached because the whole point of objects is that they have to be placed with software in post. It’s not something that happens on the fly. If it is there, it not be noticeable.

You’re being silly. Just enjoy the game, wherever you can find it.

Edit to add this link for reference.

I can't seem to find hardware requirements in the spec. Can someone help me out?

Looking to run this in a docker container with a Postgres DB, not sqlite.

My entertainment experience is so much better than my friends' because of piracy. I use torrents, and store my media and it's made my life so great since I got into this a little over a year ago. I've seen shows that none of my friends have seen. Lately I've been into police dramas and there's an incredible series from France called Le Bureau des Légendes, which is phenomenal. There's one from the UK that I just finished called Line of Duty that was also great. I saw an Estonian period film that is entertaining called Apteeker Melchior -- it was freeleech for a short while, so I grabbed it.

My friends who pay for Netflix, Disney+ and all the the other streaming channels watch the all same garbage TV. I can see that too, but I get access to these other amazing films and shows. I've not even mentioned the books, audiobooks and music.

The pirate's life is a great life and it's the life for me. Arrrr.

It is a really good thought. Your comment prompted me to check the whole machine (SSD + raid array) and I don't have any hard-linking of media files, torrent files or anything like that. So that isn't it.

I think it's just a bug in the system.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

Not yet and hopefully I won't have to do that.

Yeah, I thought about that too. It's why I noted in the post that my files are set to delete and not be moved to the trash first. Those settings are in options/advanced.

I deleted .25 terabytes and it hasn't changed at all. It used to increment up after every deletion, so this is new.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

It doesn't. I rolled the version back to 4.6.7 and it didn't help, so I moved it forward again. Restarted the container, then the stack, then the whole physical machine. Nothing so far. Yeah, maybe I'll file a report on their page.

qBit does delete the file from my physical drive (direct attached storage, raid5). But won't update the free space in the WebUI. The discrepency is over 1TB, so I'd like to address this if someone can help me.

Some info:

  • qBit v.5.0.1, docker, from linuxserver.io
  • Ubuntu 24.04
  • Automatic Management Mode is checked
  • Torrent content removing mode: Delete files permanently

I can't get radarr to add https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27430909/ to the library.

Searching with imdb:tt27430909. When I try other imdb ids, it works fine. But this one won't work. Anyone know how to manually bring this into my libary.

FWIW, I actually bought this title off of his website. It is really inexpensive, so if you can afford it, I recommend buying it.

I haven't received any PMs.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (4 children)

No idea why that didn't come on my basic search. Thank you. You are doing god's work.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago (6 children)

Hm. I can't find it. Can you PM me the torrent number? It's in the url. Or the link?

Dolby Digital (e-ac & e-ac3) are lossy codecs. So transcoding a lossy codec to a lossless codec, is not a good idea.

You can read more about it here: https://interviewfor.red/en/transcodes.html

Yikes. Thanks for catching that. I mistyped.

I’d like to prioritize bandwidth for trackers where ratio is hard and de-prioritize trackers where almost everything is freeleech. Is there a way to do this?

I know how to do it on a bare-metal installation. But on the Docker version, I can't figure out how to create a brand new torrent. Can someone help me out?

I'm looking to download a number of educational youtube videos for future reference. Looking for a reliable way to download videos. OS is Ubuntu. FF extensions and docker containers all good. I don't really want to install an executable on bare metal unless it is a flatpak.

My goal is for the downloaded videos to be accessed locally via jellyfin. Jellyfin is already sorted.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

These groups do most mainstream shows with similar settings so when should you choose one over the other?
