I think you're asking the wrong question. It can take months, years, hell even a whole lifetime to get over something like that. Or maybe you'll never get over it!

The question you should be asking isn't "is feeling this way normal," it's "what can I do to approach this healthier?" It's not about what's normal or understandable, it's about what you can do with your own autonomy to improve your condition.

And on that, personally I would start by finding and speaking with a counselor who can help you process your thoughts, feelings, and emotions to achieve a sense of clarity and empower yourself to confident decisions moving forward.

There already exists no shortage of ways for corporations to exploit artists.

Fight for what you're actually talking about: fight for better wages and unions for artists and creatives and fight for a better social safety net. Trying to pick a fight with a glorified screwdriver isn't going to solve the ails of capitalism.

Cuomo didn't lose, Mamdani won.

Yes people hate Cuomo and if you want to take it as an indictment of him, fine. But even moreso than that this is an endorsement of Mamdani and progressive values. Don't undermine Mamdani's accomplishment by acting like this was a failure of Cuomo rather than a success of Mamdani

Gaming is the one place generative AI makes the most sense, imo.

Personally, I want to see the Holodeck from Star Trek. That entire concept is generative AI.

That's only the half of it. Look at the rest of the policies, look how they want to cut Medicare and food stamps and other safety net programs.

Make no mistake, this administration wants to see people die.

This is the end game the technocrats have been working towards, this is how they're enacting their eugenics. They want poor people, disabled people, disadvantaged people, to die. They believe they are culling the weak members of the herd for the sake of the betterment of "their" kind (rich, white, "healthy", etc).

These policies aren't stupid or ineffective, they are cruel and insidious by design

What an absolutely insane stretch that has nothing to do with what I said. Clearly you aren't here to discuss, you're just here to soapbox. But I didn't sign up for your asinine TedTalk, so I'm just gonna block you so I never have to waste my time on you again.

This opinion has always been stupid. It has never been about "points," it has been about reputation, the points were only ever meant as a shorthand representation of the reputation. So yes, Lemmy won't give me your point total, but I can still see both your comments themselves and their "scores" that I might be able to gauge whether or not you have a reputation as somebody with meaningful contributions or as a contrarian edgelord.

People have literally never had to say that.

First off it was Tiktok, not YouTube, that started the "unalived" trend, but even then make no mistake, "killed," "murdered," "died," etc has never been banned on tiktok either.

What has been happening is that videos (on tiktok) with "potentially divisive content" are not being promoted by tiktok. You video will not get removed just for saying the word "killed" and will still be fully available for viewing by your followers, it just won't be promoted on the For You page for strangers.

And it's fine if you still object to this, but we have to stop conflating the two. Not being promoting is not the same thing as being censored.

Edit: I don't know who downvoted this or why, but I'm right
