I also did in my instance at federotica.com
Porn and gore don't really work well together in my experience. Gore sites often attract "free speech" folks i.e. nazis, redneck racists, antisemites, homophobes, edgelords etc.
Unfortunately those are also the most active users on gore sites. If you really want to run a porn or nsfw site you're better off not allowing them. I know the decision is already done (luckily) but there are good reasons you shouldn't allow them. Sites that allow complete "free speech" devolve into a trash site that just posts noise (look at efukt or 4chan).

Hey

I'm voidmilk and come from Reddit in anticipation of the great migration due to the API changes. Lots of people voiced their worries about what will happen to the NSFW communities. I tried to set up this Lemmy instance to give a haven for the NSFW crowd.

Unfortunately I'm just a single guy and this whole server runs on a really thin free VPS. So any content hosting has to be outside. This means you can only link to content and make text posts (in addition to all the other functionalities of Lemmy).
Still I hope you find something to do here and hopefully y'all can build some great communities here. I mean the internet was built for this no?

For people that are new here and not registered, it will only show Non-NSFW communities as far as I can tell. You need direct links to access NSFW communities.
