I plan to have people type an application to register but will deny creeps and obviously bots. What would be the best questions to ask/way to tell that someone is a creep with ill intentions?

I have some ideas, but I’m looking for more, actual ideas from the Lemmy community. Ex: (if I make it a 13+ instance) What age range do you plan on interacting with? What do you plan on talking about with these people? What do you plan to do here?

Wordreference is the best online dictionary out there, it's free and works very well with multiple languages. Recently I saw this post on their forum dictionary for kindle devices , and its an old post (2011).

The idea was to "compile" wordreference - let's say english - dictionary into a .mobi file and put it in kindle so you could use it offline as your kindle dictionary.

Does anyone know how to do that? Or is there already a solution to this out there?

When I search this topic online, I always find either wrong information or advertising lies. So what is actually something that LLMs can do very well, as in being actually useful and not just outputing a nonsensical word salad that sounds coherent.

So basically from what I've read, most people use it for natural language processing problems.

Example: turn this infodump into a bullet point list, or turn this bullet point list into a coherent text, help me with rephrasing this text, word association, etc.

Other people use it for simple questions that it can answer with a database of verified sources.

Also, a few people use it as struggle duck, basically helping alleviate writers block.

Hey so when I was like a 11 I had pinched this baby to make it cry and I knew it would cry and then I did the same thing to a toddler at my church one time. And then like one time I was playing with another girl who was younger in kind of like an older brother to sister kind of way and I was holding one of her legs and lifted it up. I live in Turkey. My sister got accepted by the government to send for doctorate education to United Kingdom. However they denied her at the third year (they could've done that at the first year and the damage wouldn't be this big but here we are). Anyway, since it didn't end successfully, now the government wants back the school tuition and housing fee they paid for my sister.

We definitely don't have that kind of money and government will go to collect the fee through enforcement way. Even thinking about this is horrifying.

I don't know any other idea other than this but I have never done this before so I have no idea if it's a good one or not.

Do you think it's viable to think having a funding campaign would help? What would you do? Should I do this? I don't even know where to start honestly.

I work a rather demanding job and I've constantly been feeling tired and underperformant compared to my colleagues for the past few months. I keep evading responsibilities or putting them off until the last minute.

Many people would kill to be where I am. Yet, I show up every day unmotivated.

There were several stressful years leading up to my current job and I'm wondering if I'm burnt out at this point or if I'm just not pulling my weight.

He’s been giving mixed signals as well, such as dressing fancy all of a sudden, staring at me a lot, sometimes being nice and other times rude. I get that he’s unstable (obviously) and he generally acts like this with people he’s attached to but it still makes me wonder if he would treat me this way if he actually did have feelings for me.
