Clinton punctuated her reaction on the X platform with an eyes emoji and a link to an Atlantic article that revealed how Trump officials inadvertently broadcast plans of US airstrikes on Houthi rebels through a Signal group chat with a journalist reading along.

Trump and his supporters criticized her ruthlessly for her classified emails and private server use before and after he defeated her in the presidential election nine years earlier, even calling for her to be imprisoned.

Among them were some of the participants in the group chat reported on by the Atlantic: the secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth; the secretary of state, Marco Rubio; the Central Intelligence Agency director, John Ratcliffe; and the national security adviser, Mike Waltz.

“If it was anyone other than Hillary Clinton, they would be in jail right now,” ex-Fox News host Hegseth said on his former network in 2016, as CNN showed in a montage which went viral Monday night.

I mean this is fucked up, but also US voters despise Hillary for representing the status quo, which she does...

The tragic thing is centrist democrats would only ever respond to the "hillary emails" thing by completely accepting and engaging with the framing conservatives set and then totally getting steam rolled when they tried to make any kind of persuasive argument within that hostile framework.

Especially since Hillary was the precisely wrong candidate for the moment independent of what you think of her, she represented establishment politics through and through possibly more than anybody else other then Jeb Bush (who didn't even register nationally except as a meme that election cycle).

It was hilariously obvious that the general public was ready to throw a hand grenade at the status quo and that Hillary Clinton was the worst possible kind of candidate to rally behind in that moment.

She and hear team literally purposely elevated Trump during the primaries because she was so sure she would be running against Jeb Bush in the general election.
