This week I have been grinding a lot more Binding of Isaac. Finally made some progress on Jacob and Esau.

Also been playing more Indiana Jones. Game is so dang good. Finally left the Vatican, I don't want the game to end!

The format of these posts is simple: let’s discuss a specific game or series!

The Steam Autumn Sale is upon us, and I got the biggest amount of games I've ever bought in a single sale: 50!

Let's discuss UFO 50. What is your favorite game in the collection? What game did you spend most of your time on? What do you like about it? What doesn't work for you? Feel free to share anything that comes up and react to other comments. Let's get the conversation going!

If you have any recommendations for games or series for the next post(s), please feel free to DM me or add it in a comment here (no guarantees of course).

Previous entries: Platformers, Uplifting Games, Final Fantasy, Visual Novels, Hollow Knight, Nintendo DS, Monster Hunter, Persona, Monkey Island, 8 Bit Era, Animal Crossing, Age of Empires, Super Mario, Deus Ex, Stardew Valley, The Sims, Half-Life, Earthbound / Mother, Mass Effect, Metroid, Journey, Resident Evil, Polybius, Tetris, Telltale Games, Kirby, LEGO Games, DOOM, Ori, Metal Gear, Slay the Spire

Hi! It would be unfair if I just promoted my Youtube on this website without showing you any of my real work! So here is my game from 1 year ago! It's pretty basic but I wasn't as skilled then as know. Here is the storyline!:

Rebels have taken over Meow-1(the biggest planet in the entire solar system). You are the captain of Anti rebel army and you have the most technically advanced ship in your hands. You have to stop the rebels before they turn the cat society into a racist system! Go check the game out! https://thecatgamecompany.itch.io/captain-cats

Is the Lemur better or Framework 13 a better fit for gaming?

I’m not triple a gaming, but playing up to like, Skyrim would be nice.

EDIT: Thanks for the replies everyone! I read them all and upvoted you all because they were truly helpful.

Looks like FW is the clear winner! I also use GIS software for work stuff/self teaching and so graphics capabilities are pretty important for me.

Thanks again everyone, y’all are the best!

This uses my X4-SimPit extension for X4: Foundations, that sends ship telemetry via a socket to my node-red plumbing pipeline, which in turn forwards data to Websockets, SocketIO and MQTT. Various subscriber listen on the new messages to run blinken lights and my HUD app. I’m using the well known message format also used by Elite Dangerous so it’s compatible with that game as well.

Oh yeah… and on Linux PC 🤓

Let me know what you think!

This is a really good video I found about the game Wolfenstein 3D and video games as a art and what we can learn from the past.

Sony is working on a prototype AI-powered version of at least one its PlayStation game characters. An anonymous tipster has shared an internal video from Sony’s PlayStation group with The Verge that demonstrates an AI-powered version of Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West. After we published this story, the video was pulled from YouTube due to a copyright claim from Muso, a copyrights enforcement company which advertises Sony Interactive Entertainment (aka PlayStation) as a client.

The video is narrated by Sharwin Raghoebardajal, a director of software engineering at Sony Interactive Entertainment who works on video game technology, AI, computer vision, and face technology for Sony’s PlayStation Studios Advanced Technology Group. We watched Raghoebardajal demonstrate an AI-powered version of Aloy that can hold a conversation with a player through voice prompts during gameplay.

What have y'all been playing? I've been continuing my Avowed grind. I'm starting to be ready for it to be over. But it is still very enjoyable. I just have other games I want to play lol

To celebrate the enduring influence of video games in the arts and in our wider culture, we’re asking players from around the world to help us decide the Most Influential Video Game of All Time.

‘Most influential game’ can mean different things to different people. Perhaps it’s a game that birthed a genre, one that defined an era, or one that set the standards for storytelling and interactivity. Perhaps it’s a game whose influence crosses into films, TV and music, which we still see today. It could even be a game that’s had a big influence on you, personally, changing the way you look at the world.

Whatever ‘influential’ means for you, we want to hear your choice. Need some inspiration? Some of the biggest names in games are having their say on our socials so follow us on @BAFTA socials to find out more.

You have until Thursday 20th March 5pm GMT to have your say.

Lots of people hating on this game in forums and reviews. I've seen some others say it is pretty good. I myself really enjoyed it as a fan of tactics games and as a fan of Godzilla movies. What do y'all think about this game? Check out my video review: https://youtu.be/A1HFYZ9da_U

Android Gamepads (discuss.tchncs.de)
submitted 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I've been looking for compact USB Gamepads you can attach to an Android phone, like the Razer Kishi, various Gamesir ones and a few others, but none of them allow for wired audio, except for the Backbone One, which is too expensive, and the Gamesir G8 which seems like a good option, albeit a bit too large.

Does anyone have any experience and suggestions for these controllers?

Thanks

Frogwares has just launched their Kickstarter campaign for The Sinking City 2, a Lovecraftian survival horror set in Arkham.
"Set in an eerie, Lovecraftian reimagining of 1920s America, The Sinking City 2 is a narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025."

Today I've reported a player in Marvel Rivals for being a cheater (it was obvious to me, even autoaim through wall playing hawkeye). And I just got a confirmation message that the player is banned until 2125... basically a 100 year ban. :D Do report them. Report toxicity as well (I get ton of confirmation). But do not report because you are angry or maybe the other player played well. It's the first time I reported someone in Marvel Rivals for cheating.

I do my part.
