These religious people in west Texas would rather their kids get sick and die than get a vaccine. They should be arrested for child neglect. It also says they'd rather have their kid die than get autism (not that it causes it but these people probably believe that).

I live in a major city in Texas, I'm autistic, and I've been told this by several people throughout my life. The last guy that told me that (during a debate about if vaccines cause autism) told me I was his best employee in many years and tried to get me back for years after I left his business. These people don't know what autism is, what autistic people "look" like, but they know it's the worst thing ever.. That same guy told me he would disown his son if he were gay. I think these people are just bad parents who didn't want kids in the first place.
If they had to suffer from raising a shit kid they didn't want, why should others get out of it?
That seems to be the going right wing ideology these days. Convince people they have struggles that they don't really have so they let the government create real struggles for people that are actually vulnerable. I've never seen people with their heads so far up their own asses.
