I used three Meta products:
Whatsapp, Facebook Marketplace, and Instagram. I've completely gone off Insta, I only really used it to see posts and reels my friends sent me.
I don't really know an alternative to WhatsApp and Marketplace that I can use. I'm very careful to not interact with any Facebook advertisements on Marketplace though.
Signal is the non-corporate replacement for What's App although realistically you end up having both due to network effects.
This is what is happening to me, I can't force my folks to drop WhatsApp. Only a few have Signal
You can stop using WhatsApp without everyone agreeing with you. If they want to talk to you they'll find a way
