I've had a couple Gurus when I'm in a pinch and really need to stay awake. What other Canadian energy drinks are out there?

There's Beaver Buzz. I've found it here and there (London Drugs is one place). I wish they had a sugar-free option and were priced a little cheaper, but I don't think I'll be buying Monster any more.

Actually, I just looked into it a little more - they've got it at Superstore. Currently on sale, too. I just wonder why Beaver Buzz has no mention of having anything to do with Canada (it's BC owned and produced) while they've got "prepared in Canada" for Monster and Reign.

Just so you guys know, red bull isn't from the us but from Austria. But the founder/owner is was a right wing asshole and against unions, so there's also a reason look for alternatives

Red Bull was originally a drink from Thailand called Krating Daeng. From what I am gathering, it seems the Austrian company struck a deal with the Thai manufacturer during the 80s to bring it to the West, but they remain separate companies. So if you're craving Red Bull maybe importing some Krating Daeng or looking it up at Asian grocery stores could be an option? xD
