  • Brush: Maggards - synthetic bulb
  • Razor: Gillette - Rocket HD
  • Blade: Personna - Lab Blue (2)
  • Lather: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Sea Spice Lime
  • Post Shave: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Sea Spice Lime Aftershave splash
  • Post Shave: Stirling - Glacial Unscented Aftershave balm
  • Fragrance: Stirling - Deep Blue Sea EdT

On theme with SSL, a wonderful spring/summer scent. I just wish I had the EdT.

I was pleasantly surprised by how this Maggard brush performed. It's a solid little synth. Super easy to lather, no fuss. Can't complain!

Have a good one y'all!

If it's the sort of tan colored synthetic from Maggard, that's my favorite knot (or at least it's my most used knot).

It’s this one. Pleasantly surprised

SSL is so good. The EdT is really nice, too.

MARCH MADNESS 2025 DAY 20

  • Brush: Marble w/ Maggard G5
  • Razor: Chiseled Face Legacy Brass
  • Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
  • Lather: Barrister & Mann - Le Grand Chypre
  • Post Shave: Barrister & Mann - Le Grand Chypre splash
  • Fragrance: Barrister & Mann - Le Grand Chypre

While technically not an actual spring scent, there are vague connections in my brain that I’ve made that remind me of spring last year. Close enough!

Shave tour day 9

Same gear

Bodyshop aloe and maca root shave cream

Probably the best 'drugstorre' product. It gives a decent shave probably because it's a cream and so easy for numptys to load. Properly.

Ranking

BaM soft heart sandalwood
MdC fougere
Wickham gothic
Grooming correto
Wickham ninfeo
Signature a Capra
Bodyshop aloe

Absolutely wonderful shave today with The Fat (tallow), the smooth Dandy, old-school Hâttric, and the new-to-me Chubby super badger that I bought off @archsoup on the r/wetshaving discord. The Super Badger is even softer than my already soft manchurian, but it's so dense that the backbone is still there. It lathered The Fat like a champ and I'm glad I bought it. It occurred to me that even though none of the hardware or software used today is vintage, this shave could have happened half a century ago and looked exactly the same. No recent modern technology required to get a good shave.
