Ah, you ssh into a Unix like system and use $(( )) or maybe bc?
I mean from their perspective, they would call the 'base' we use '22'. Unless I'm missing the joke in there about a calculator?
22 is the default port for connecting to some kinds of remote computers via ssh. The two utilities I mentioned are tools for performing arithmetic and are usually (but not always) available on the kinds of systems that would be likely to be running ssh.
I knew it wasn't what you meant, I was just making my own Unix joke - I tend to do that and, since it's Lemmy, tend to get mixed results!

Doesn't matter how many digits you use. The first number after the last possible single digit is 10. If the first digit tier is 0 and the second is 1 it means it's the number after you have used all the possible digits to express a number with a single digit number. Guess it's harder to explain.
It's like language is missing one or two precise words to articulate the idea in better terms

Agree! I don't know why other people don't get how convenient it is to have a distinct character for every single number imaginable.

All bases should be quoted in Base-1, the basedest of bases
