A big English speaking population, it's small enough that people have a sense of national pride but still large enough to have plenty of users, and most importantly a 3 color flag that's easy to draw with no outside coordination.
Plus, they just love expanding east and west.
I think us Kiwis did well to get three kiwis completed (and I did my ULR and QR as well) and then our flag finished
Those Brits have a pretty big flag in the bottom left... ~i know it's supposed to be the Aussie flag~
We never finish anything....
