These incidents shouldn't happen with proper checks during registration. Registration should safeguard against this by checking voter eligibility.

Headline makes it seem like he voted multiple times in the same election. It's just stating that he registered to vote 9 times under felony probation since early 2000s.

I thought it was bullshit those Florida felons got in trouble for voting after registration didn't safeguard them, we should think it's bullshit he is getting the same treatment.

Felons shouldn't be disenfranchised in the first place. Not to mention the guy at least had a plausible belief that his probation had ended; it's not news that the criminal justice system is designed to be complicated and cruel for offenders.

I do appreciate the irony that I am defending a wannabee fascist using progressive logic, though.

Georgia Code §21-2-572 Prohibits voting twice in the same election Any person who votes in more than one precinct in the same primary or election or otherwise fraudulently votes more than once at the same primary or election shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than one nor more than 10 years or to pay a fine not to exceed $100,000, or both.

The article doesn't state he voted multiple times in the same election;it appears to be saying he voted in multiple elections across several years while he was ineligible to vote.

How is the existence of this law germane to the subject of this article, or discussion of the article here?

In reaction to the conviction, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said Pritchard “must resign immediately or be removed from office” on X, formerly Twitter.

lol

I'm surprised it wasn't more

It wasn't in the same ejection. Head line is misleading
