Release Overview - Stable Versions
Keep in mind that the official changelog website is often behind actual release versions, the website is maintained by marketing people. Also note that not every single change/issue is mentioned in the release notes, because lots of changes are done in the background e.g. filter-list changes etc.

Brave 1.37 for iOS: Sync Passwords, Improved Adblock, Night Mode Toggle Switch added

In this release, we:
- Added the ability to sync passwords saved in the Brave browser between desktop and your iOS device.
- Improved Brave Shields, especially on sites like youtube.com.
- Added Night Mode, making it easier to view and read websites in low light.

I make it brief, the steps are pretty much universal for Firefox, Brave, Windows except that on Linux SNAP packages are not supported, but this is clearly mentioned in KeePassXC and also visible in the first screenshot.
- Install KeePassXC, on most distros pre-installed.
- Install the Chrome Extension.
- Install Brave as AUR package, the
-binrelease are good enough. - 2FA works too, just click on the little bubble icon if you see the 2FA field.
On KeePassXC end we need to enable the integration
The advance options are optional and normally do not need to be touched. It is up to you if you change something here or not but the popups as return checks, that are enabled by default make sense and IMHO you should not suppress them to avoid accidentally overriding something.
On Browser and Extension side
Make sure you connect the database once you are finished, which will show a popup which you need to manually confirm, this is a simple security check.
In case you are on Brave Beta or Nightly and cannot connect your database to the KeePassXC Browser Integration.
- Copy the file
org.keepassxc.keepassxc_browser.jsonto~/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser-Nightly/NativeMessagingHostsreplace nightly with beta, depending on what you use.

The option is on desktop enabled by default, on Android there are some issues which need to be resolved first which is the reason why its off by default there but I expect to see this introduced into the next stable version.
It is a slight ClearURLs/RedirectURL based solution to directly redirects you automatically to the real URL. It is not advanced as to what CU offers but Brave approach is more to strip down tracking and not to cosmetic alter URLs, this was also discussed on several issue tickets.

Nutshell
- Chrome 99 removed Tab Grid View on Android, the flag is only leftover that does not work anymore.
- People outcry because Chromium changed that and Brave followed it.
- Workaround, downgrade to v104 on GitHub and that is it.

Due to the recent ~~DuckDuckGo~~ TrustTrustLost scandal we might see Brave Search sooner going out of Beta and as default search engine than expected.

I doubt this statement a lot, I think nothing ever will be not censored + moderated at some point. If not by choice then forced by the government. For me this sounds more like marketing since TrustTrustLost lost all credibility now he might uses this for his advantages to promote Brave Search.
Censoring per-see is not bad to hide stuff like CP, nazi stuff etc. The question is how transparent is it and does it censor legitimate stuff or not, I highly doubt a engine without moderation will ever work because people tend to abuse everything to troll, for their propaganda purposes etc. I see this first class in basically every Telegram channel nazi propaganda spread by same people across all channels and if you report it nothing happens.
For me moderation is fundamental, nothing works without it.
I also like to add that Bing itself got busted censoring, Bing is owned by Microsoft and as long as Brave Search crawls results from Bing the entire claim from Eich is baseless because this is how Microsoft / Bing handles things. We can continue the discussion when Brave is out of Beta and do not depend on others anymore and check if they actually hold the claim or not, until then there is not much further to discuss that brings the discussion a step forward.
Censorship or general discussion regarding this is a society and politician thing and therefore do not belong into this community unless it reflect Brave directly.

I only gave an example when censorship makes sense but people tend to shit on the actual topic and now trying to argue everything down. I feel sorry for people who actually wanted to discuss the topic/news, but I lock threads before the tend to go out of control. I do not want to put more mental stress on me with political discussions, please respect that. Sorry.
