I was very surprised after waiting all year to see them drastically cut the price a day after our summer tourist season ended. From $69 to $39 for a 2019, 2020, and 2021 cask strength releases 375ml. It has had the asterisk on the full price tag for awhile now and I was hoping this day would come. About a full pallet left when I got mine.

Some of these numbers are shocking. Who knew that Taiwan has 14 Costcos, whereas France only has 2 and New Zealand only 1?

Quite naive of me, but I assumed Costco prices were Costco prices. I needed gas, and was going to hit my local Costco--but realized there was one just a couple of miles away on my way home.

Filled up and then checked Gas Buddy. My "home" Costco was $4.99/gal and I had just paid $5.13/gal just 8 miles away.

Not a huge amount of money wasted, but sometimes it's the principle of the thing, you know? 😏

Can't buy anything stronger than beer and wine at Costco where I come from. Can't even get it delivered. It's un-American, I tell you!

I do not understand why people aren't satisfied with the uppermost (open) case of whatever when there's a large stack (and, let's face it--everything is stacked at Costco). I watch them struggle to lift 4 or 5 cases so they can pick one box of raisins from the 5th level down. I get if there was one left on top that was crushed or some other moron opened...but, really?

The other one is the family of 5 that walk next to each other (think front line of an NFL team) while pushing the cart as slowly as possible down the 'wrong' side of the aisle.

I am pining for Costco (sh.itjust.works)

Tragically, I moved and went from living 2 blocks from a Costco to 50 miles. Mainly I miss inexpensive cases of seltzer water… I went to a local grocery store and they were offering 8 cans of seltzer for $4.99, while normally I purchased a case of 24 for $5.70 at Costco. Back in the balmy halcyon days of May, I would walk to my local Costco with a dolly and return with a case of V8, some weird sparkly water from Washington, spinach, mushrooms, Diet Pepsi, Kettle chips, and much more…. and now, the memories are fading into the margins of history.

I am also missing the Kirkland hummus. I could use a vehicle and drive 52.3 miles (or so) to Costco, but it seems slightly unreasonable.

What days do the warehouses run samples? I've seen it on Friday sometimes but not on Sunday.

Chicken salad. I add it to rice, broccoli, and cheese.

Has anyone else noticed that Costco changed the size of the rice bags? They used to be 50lb, but it appears that they're all 25lb now. Also, the cost per lb seems to have gone up.

I upgraded to Executive a couple of years ago and got this very classy black card. Do they look the same everywhere? I assume the URL printed on the card varies, but what about everything else?

So apparently now at Costco, you have to have a membership ID that has a photo of you on it and they won't even let you get in line to pay for your stuff unless you show your Costco card with a photo ID or with a photo on it if you have a Costco card that doesn't have a photo on it then you have to show them your drivers license and they won't even let you get in line until you show this. At the other place we don't have to do this and we don't have any issues with getting checked for membership through the store.

New exec member here; anyone have any particularly good or bad experiences with Costco's car insurance? I'll be getting a quote soon, but any comments on the service/coverage? General Costco protips welcome as well :)

Hi all. My partner saw online about Costco having big packs of Morningstar Farms Chik Patties/Grillers/etc. but we haven't been able to find it at our local Costco in Pittsburgh. Wondering if this a regional thing or if it might be an equivalent to Aldi's "Special Finds"? Any input would be appreciated!

I got a box last year for like $20, haven't seen them in-store for a while now.

What's your favorite easy/lazy meal prep with mainly Costco ingredients? Mine is a creamy chicken pesto pasta:

  • Cook chicken breast in a pan while boiling short pasta
  • Simmer together heavy cream and Kirkland pesto
  • Combine cooked pasta, chicken, sauce, sun dried tomatoes (that huge jar in the sauce aisle), and mix in gorgonzola/blue cheese if you have it. Serve with parmesan and pepper.

I was very interested in the differences between Business Centre and Warehouses, and I had a chance to visit a nearby Business Centre a few weeks ago. I'd like to share some of my impressions about it.

  1. Bigger than warehouse, more SKUs. There is no Coca Cola Zero in all the Costco Warehouses I've visited, but I could find them in Business Centre. There are also more electronics to choose, like fan at various size.

  2. Choosing meat is so cool (literally) The meat is put on open shelves in a room with low temperature (like diary room). After making my selection, I had to rush out of it

  3. No gas station, No food court But their is still rotisserie chicken at 7.99! Sadly that my family doesn't like that.

  4. The location is okay for me. Luckily, this Business Centre is not that far away from my home. Depending on the traffic, it cost me about 40 minute for one-way driving.

TLDR There is not significant difference between Business Centre and Warehouse, as I had expected before
