A compilation of some uploads I made to Instagram during the year of 2022.

It was a pretty busy year outside of music related activities, but I'm hoping 2023 will change that. Got some music and videos in the works which I'm hoping will come to fruition at some point during the year!

Thanks for sticking around so far! Happy New Year and see you on the other side ❤️

quote The Official music video for 'Silkroad' premieres Wednesday, September 20, 𝟏𝟐𝐩𝐦 𝐏𝐓 // 𝟑𝐩𝐦 𝐄𝐒𝐓 // 𝟖𝐩𝐦 𝐁𝐒𝐓 // 𝟗𝐩𝐦 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐓. Set your reminder and join the chat!

Finally here’s the third official music video! This time we chose the opening album track called “Silkroad”. It is a song that I wrote years ago while I was listening a lot of whammy bar masters like Scott Henderson and Jeff Beck, so my go to guitar was a Yamaha Pacifica this time! It is also a tune dedicated to my beautiful home town Palermo, I tried to portray the beauty of his Arab influences with this middle eastern vibe, while maintaining my rock soul, and that’s how “Silkroad” was born! A huge thank to the Superintendency for Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Palermo for letting us shoot the video at the beautiful Castello Della Zisa, and also to the Archeological Park of Solunto and Iato for letting us into the Arab baths of Cefalà Diana! Thank you @YamahaGuitarsOfficial for your constant support, and thank you @mascotlabelgroup for everything!!!

Featuring footage from the upcoming Cynic Focus documentary Editing and direction by Jeremy Light Produced by Paul Masvidal and Jason Gobel

This band flies under a lot of people's radar because of the vocals but some of that lead work literally changed my life. If you get far enough to hear the solo: Enjoy!

RIP to Sean Reinert and Sean Malone.

Watch Paul Masvidal of Cynic rip through the song "Evolutionary Sleeper".

If you're unfamiliar with Paul's lead work with Death and Cynic, do yourself a favor. He's one of the most musical, original, spiritual, and musical guitar players to ever play death metal.

This is one of the best sounding recordings of Allan. So, I wanted to post it here since Allan was (and always will be) the absolute pinnacle of improvisational virtuosity on guitar.

Imagine if we had footage of Coltrane in this quality? IMO, Holdsworth was to guitar what Coltrane was to sax.

It's a shame how much of this stuff is hidden behind Chops From Hell's paywall.

The incomparable duo of Speedy West (pedal steel) & Jimmy Bryant (electric guitar) burning the Hometown Jamboree down with their own number, which would later be recorded as 'Cotton Pickin'. Hold on to your hats!

Sorry for the potato quality but these two are definitely worth remembering.

North Sea Jazz 2011

Not to be confused with Voodoo Child (Slight Return),.see Wikipedia ...

This is pushing it but since pedal steel is actually considered a guitar, here you go. Robert is the best pedal steel player in the world right now, IMO.
