...cages in kirby and the forgotten land are... weird. somehow the act of simply touching them causes them to colourfully disintegrate. and what exactly does it look like when dedede/sillydillo swings a cage and catches elfilin/kirby inside?

i looked at slowed-down footage. the cage is actually already closed when they're swinging the thing. kirby/elfilin just straight up clips into the closed cage. and when you mash your way out of the cage, kirby just simply clips out of the cage -- what you see in the image.

hi. new Kirby fan here. i recently finished Kirby's Dream Land and starting the extra mode. is there a recommended order for playing the games or is release order the best?

decided to overhaul my program for turning scripts for new world friends chat into actual series of text boxes. support for bold and italics! the ability to put text boxes side by side! and in general, a more cohesive design that made the above things -- and some other things as well -- possible! took quite a while, and required a lot of thinking, but i'm pretty proud of the final result.

and what better way to celebrate than by implementing a meme idea i've vaguely had for some time now! the "full-speed farewell" part of the song title "a full speed farewell from the new world" is kinda interesting, given that the song plays when you're trying to ram a big rig into someone. more like a full-speed farewell from the mortal realm.

and, well, if there's one thing in the new world that could provoke that kind of retaliation from kirby, it's probably kidnapping his new friend elfilin. and that's the basis for this post, expressed through a variation of this meme.

it's been a while since i've last posted one of these, hasn't it? some of it was just life getting in the way, but i also worked on two other scripts before deciding to save those for later installments.

for those who don't know, this is the third installment of a series that i'm doing in which kirby, bandana dee, and elfilin do and talk about various stuff, told through a sequence of undertale-style text boxes. it was meant to be a way for me to contribute reasonably lowish-effort yet highish-quality content to this community on a regular basis.

...yeah the "regular basis" thing didn't entirely work out this time.

kirby, like any other video game series worth its salt, is well-known for having great music. but, especially as of late, it's also well known for giving those great songs titles that go just as hard as the music itself. the good old "kirby or touhou?" quiz demonstrates one aspect of this.

so what are some kirby song titles that you really like? bonus points for songs where you like the title more than the actual song.
