Genuinely curious why some people just can't stand to wait that extra second. I have a roommate who will microwave anything. Stand there stare at it until it reaches roughly 10 seconds left. Recently I moved into the new apartment where there is a nice, relatively big balcony. My balcony is separated from the neighboring ones by a thin translucent partition, which does not even completely block the view, because there are gaps in it.

More than that, instead of the 4th wall, I have a thin big window with the door that leads to the aforementioned balcony. The door does not close very tightly and is the part of the window. I have to keep it open to have a bit of fresh air inside.
