"Stand Not Between Me and the Sun"

If you are planning to spend a few days in the Austin area. Do yourself a favor and spend some time at the Star Ranch. A family oriented clothing optional community that honestly has a small town feel. Their are several cabins available as well as four rooms for rent in the main hall all for a very reasonable price. The main hall contains the indoor pool and hot tub. The residents seem relaxed and friendly, making it a laid-back and fun experience.

Vacationing in Florida? I would recommend staying here. They have nice hotel rooms, entertainment venues and a half price offer for first time visitors.

7/17-7/20 at Penn Sylvan (PSHS) in Mohnton PA, about an hour-hour and a half outside of Philly

No lineup announced yet that I could find.

Haven't attended myself yet, but I saw some people post about it last year and it sounded like a fun time. Seems like a smaller festival that doesn't really get any big names.

Also of note-

It's their 80 year anniversary

They've chosen not to raise their rates this year

Rates are 50% off during their "shoulder seasons" in May and September

Still kind of dipping my toes into social nudity, but I made my way there twice last year and had a great time and look forward to going back. Last year I camped out for their beer fest and came up for the day one other weekend.

For those who have strong opinions one way or the other, they do have a pretty active community of swingers, I was asked a few times if I was in "the lifestyle," but it never felt pushy and never made anything weird, and everything out in the open stayed pretty much PG except for the fact that everyone was naked.

I've heard that some of the regulars can get kind of cliquey that wasn't my experience, but I haven't been there enough to really comment on that.

Hopefully I'll see some of you around this year.

An Ipsos survey published last weekend has revealed that 14 per cent of Brits now describe themselves as nudists.

That means an estimated 6.75 million people – roughly one in seven – reckon they like to get their kit off while enjoying activities such as swimming, sunbathing

These are real thoughts and situations I faced before concluding I'm a nudist.

  • When the weather is comfortable, you'd rather be nude outside than clothed
  • You have a dislike for winter because it's too cold to be nude
  • You get a new roommate or join a dorm, and your first thought is "Darn, guess I can't be nude anymore"
  • When the weather is comfortable, you usually only get clothed to be in public
  • You ask a friend if they would be nude all day if they lived alone. You find out they wouldn't. You answered the opposite.
  • You forget if you're even wearing clothes, until you feel a breeze, or grab your waist
  • You dream about being nude in public, but instead of being scared or anxious, you're indifferent or proud or happy
  • You dream you are slowly losing clothing, and while you're focused on finding them, you give up and just accept that you're nude, or just don't care
  • You are curious about (or even interested participating in) communal nudity

I have some questions I haven't seen answered elsewhere. I'm asking in sincere curiosity, and to shed light on ambiguity.

  1. Is casually fondling genitals normal in nudist places, or is there implied rules that you just don't touch your genitals?

I think theres a difference in masturbating vs. Holding or fondling for comfort.

  1. If nudity was the default, how would Public places change, if at all?

  2. If nudity was the default, should people be raised with clothing being optional/determined by weather/work/necessity?

Children in non nude families will be bullied to wear clothes, first by parents, then by society. Children in nude families can be bullied for the opposite reason, so they feel obligated to not wear clothes in order to fit in and not be harassed.

In a normal world, I think clothes would just be optional: you can go out nude, or fully clothed, and nobody would care. It would be a non issue.
