When I first got my Deck, I was super impressed with games running locally that I didn't even bother setting anything else up.

Then after a while, I started to test Sunshine as it had finally fixed the decoding performance issues. The performance was so great on the Steam Deck that I started playing all games this way, streaming from my PC. I had about 6 hours of battery life, zero noise, zero heat, and way better performance.

But lately I've dropped streaming entirely and am back to running natively. What about everybody else? How do you prefer playing at home?

Switch Pro? Nah, just a Steam Deck running all these sick mods I found at !totkmods 😎 (lemmy.world)

Will you be getting it anytime? Have you already gotten yours?

I'm personally on the fence, waiting for ChimaeraOS and HoloISO reports first, but the screen (VRR / 120Hz support and overall quality) is veeeery tempting, coming from a Steam Deck.
