Welcome to TheSimpsons, a community for discussing everything related to America's non-prehistoric cartoon family, The Simpsons!

Right about now, you're probably saying, "Troy, basically every post starts with 'Guess the Episode', is that all this community is?"

To which I say you've got some attitude, mister.

But no, any Simpsons content is allowed in this community, although we do ask that you keep the shitposting over in [email protected].

Guess the Episode "Rules"

These "Rules" aren't real, so if you think of something clever, do that instead.

The Simpsons returns Sunday, March 30.

Broadcast episodes

Disney+ exclusive episodes

(Note: Episode numbering is based on Wikipedia, which is weird since Disney+ episodes don't seem to "count", but they did at one point.)

  • This season will feature two Halloween episodes, the traditional Treehouse of Horror episode and a second Treehouse of Horror episode is also planned titled "Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes".
  • In addition to airing normally 4 episodes will air exclusively on Disney+, the first of which will be a double length Christmas episode, and eventually"The Past and the Furious" and "Yellow Planet".

(This post is locked, please discuss individual episodes in their individual posts. Please be mindful of future spoilers in older threads.)

Fry wakes up in the future thinking he’s lost everything—his family, his name, his place in the world. But in Luck of the Fryrish, it goes deeper. You watch as he remembers the one thing he had: his four-leaf clover. A symbol of who he was—lucky, determined, Fry.

So when he finds out someone in the future took his name and the clover?

He thinks his brother Yancy betrayed him. Stole his identity. Buried his memory.

He’s furious. You’re furious.

Until the end.

“Here lies Philip J. Fry. Named for his uncle. To carry on his spirit.”

You realize Yancy didn’t steal anything.

He preserved him. He named his son after the brother he lost—so Fry would live on. So someone would remember.

And just like that… the anger drains. And what’s left is grief. And love. And something so raw, it sticks with you for years.

This episode isn’t just about family. It’s about the stories we tell after someone’s gone.

Did this one hit harder than Jurassic Bark for you? Or just differently?

1 point for the episode/main plot.

1 point for the joke/scene.

The disputed points lie here, off the coast of Argentina.

Bleeding Gums Murphy dies unexpectedly after reuniting with Lisa.

Lisa plays one final saxophone tribute, broadcasting it through the clouds.

His ghost appears in the sky Mufasa-style and says:

“You played the blues like you meant it, little Lisa.”

Then joins other jazz legends in the clouds and fades away.

? No dramatic score. No major character reset. Just raw grief, music, and memory—through the eyes of a child.

This episode hits quietly, but for some people, it hit first—before they ever knew what loss really was.
