Great website! Thanks for sharing (i especially admire the tip, seems very trustworthy)
I would love to do this, but my friend would never be able to wrap his head around matrix lol (never used it for real time calls either, oh well) and revolt would be too obscure for his tastes.
If i ever get him off of it, i'll definitely use this. Thanks!
well soon they will have to https://archive.is/2025.03.06-011758/https://www.ft.com/content/4ab9efe7-36bc-44ff-b2cd-06eb2c38203a
I hope so. Thankfully the corpo market is enshittifying itself to hell, to scrape as many dollars as possible for itself and in a decade or less, FOSS may prevail over it.
Hopefully in this time revolt is more developed. https://cinny.in/ reminds me of the discord UI (best matrix client btw) so maybe i can switch him to those two? I hope at least
cinny's ui is pretty good, but I must say I have my problems with it's application. because it's a webapp rather than a native program, there are some adverse effects I have encountered.
Can't relate, i only use it on web 😎
Yeah i don't see much point to installing its "app". I also run cinny through tor (shittily, but it works lmao) and i can't do it for the app, so...
for native apps there's nheko and neochat. Though naturally, the UI isn't too appealing lol. Though they work well enough
There's also https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/fractal. Very pretty but linux only, and GTK4 (fine, but sometimes clashes with other DEs/WMs)
not only do i use it installed, rather than through the web, but i believe it should be preinstalled onto every system
windows? right there by candy crush ubuntu? right on your desktop arch? in the kernel gentoo? assasains.
its the only way for supremacy
