I did not know this was a thing, SS2 is one my fave FPS titles, so hopefully this will be a worthy release.

Switch is conspicuously absent from the release platforms.

If I had to guess I would say they are skipping Switch 1 and it will be on Switch 2 when that drops.

The first games remaster leans on the heavy side of processing. I wouldn't be surprised if this one needs even more resources.
