It's way easier than this: if the game includes in-game purchases with real money of any type, the game should be +18. That's all. A kid can't have a credit card for obvious reasons, I don't understand why would they have access to a system that asks for one.

Hell yeah! Make Fortnite Great Again! Those little bastards and obvious catering to them from Epic Games totally ruined this game!
