Tip of my Joystick - Find games by describing it.

This community is to find that game you can't remember. Like it's on the tip of your tongue.

If you want to post, use this syntax: [Platform][Estimated Year] A short description of the game.
Example:
[NES][1980]A man jumping on mushrooms

You can add a longer description in the Body. Preferably according to the template in the rules.

If your game is found, change the title by adding [Solved] in front of the title, and the game name. For example:
[Solved][NES][1980s] Super Mario Bros.
If you're not sure about any of the details you can add [Unknown] instead.

Rules:

  1. One game per post
  2. Mark your post if it's solved according to the above syntax
  3. Try using this template when posting:

Platform(s):

Genre:

Estimated year of release:

Graphics/art style:

Notable characters:

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Hey all,

I kind of recall playing this game where you are a community of organic beings (I kinda recall them being four legged and the design was very block-y), they build 'hives' (I remember this term as a certainty) as their bases/barracks. I think the idea is that these beings do some exploring around the planet.

Sorry I don't have any more to go on, I was about 10 when I played this in the early zeroes.

Anyone have a clue?

If it isn't, it sure looks a hell of a lot like it.

I just don't really recall it with humanoids. Could that be a class selection thing?

I'll settle for the polygon tessellation rendering style, that's exactly the same. However I'm remembering the UI differently and I'm fairly certain it was first person and as some sort of four legged creature could create a hive.

There are multiple gods you can get units from. Each with their own powers and look. So it could be a different God's unit.

If only I could do back to check some stuff again... I just have a vague memory of some frames.

Since this is the closest I've ever been to it I'll assume it's Sacrifice, although the one thing I really remember, the building of Hives, doesn't seem to come back. Maybe I'm just remembering wrong.
