Roulade made of chicken thigh filet. Added what ever spices felt good. Mostly black pepper, paprika powder, chili and garlic. Baked it in a frying pan until brown. Rubbed some more spices on the outside, and wrapped it in aluminum foil with a chunk of butter. Left in the oven for at least 3 hours on 120°C

Left it to cook in the oven for hours. It was absolutely delicious!

This was when it just came out of the oven

That sounds like a great way to get yourself killed.

Well the cutscenes were way more visceral than actual gameplay. The blood splattered in game, but never really looked bloody

Playing god of war on the ps2 on Christmas with my grandma almost chocking when the bloody scenes came on is a great memory. I had to wait till grandma was gone before I could play more. Amazing times.

How about, and bear with me, you just show the result with your keyword(s) in order from newest to oldest. Crazy, I know.

We've been around for about 1,5 years. But recently we finally had enough active users to get on the join-lemmy.org homepage. Things got exponentially (and positively) wild since then.

You can try to use samba. That way it will emulate windows filesharing.

raising worries about a possible recession that ultimately never came.

You mean the recession that is still ongoing, but the news refuses to call a recession, because they changed the definition of recession?

There is currently a big influx of new users. Most, if not all, being reddit refugees.

I want to welcome you all to the fediverse, lemmy and retrolemmy specifically. If you need help starting out you can either try !newtolemmy@lemmy.ca or you can comment here, post in this community or message me or @Die4Ever@retrolemmy.com directly. We are here to help.

Some basic things:

Usernames are usually written out as @DosDude@retrolemmy.com. The @ in front indicates a user. It looks like an e-mail adress by design, Because there can be users with the same name on different instances. For example: @dosdude@feddit.nl

Communities are usually written out as !general@retrolemmy.com . The exclamation point indicates a community. This also looks like an e-mail address because there can also be communities with the same name on different instances.

Sometimes new communities will not load. This usually means that the community is not yet federated. You can either manually add it to lemmy-federate or you can subscribe. That way the community is federated and posts will show up. If you make a new community it is always good practice to add it to Lemmy federate. To make sure it's federated to all participating instances and maximize your user spread.

Here is a good FAQ via Lemm.ee.

Some good resources for finding communities:

https://lemmyverse.net/ - A website dedicated to finding new communities. Be sure to set your home instance using the domain name: for example: "retrolemmy.com". This is to make sure that if you click a community, it automatically links it through your instance.

https://lemmy-federate.com/ - a website to post communities so that servers' bots automatically subscribe to it, and it will show up in /all on all participating instances.

!newcommunities@lemmy.world - a community dedicated to promoting new communities.
!newcommunities@discuss.online - same as above.
!newcommunities@yiffit.net - same as above.
!lemmyapps@lemmy.world - lemmy apps community

Apps

There are loads of apps for your phone on the stores. Many of them were refitted from reddit apps to Lemmy. Here's a big megathread with all kinds of apps via lemmy.world
Or you can go to https://lemmyapps.netlify.app/ to find one not in the megathread

We hope you have a good time here!

Contrary to US elections, we actually have multiple parties. So even if a right wing party is the biggest, they have to work together with other parties to actually govern. Meaning they have to drop certain standpoints, or be in the opposition instead. The failsafe are there to not let a party reign supreme unless they have a 51% majority, which thankfully is improbable.
