If we’re appointing New Thought people to positions of high office, I’d rather have had Marianne Williamson in charge of something rather than these Fascist assholes. At least she walks the walk and actually cares about people on a deep personal level, crank or not.

Alas, there is a history of an sub-sub-culture intersection between New Thought and Fascism that goes back to WWII and before (e.g., Julius Evola, Dorothea Brande, et al.).

And of course these days we have evil cunts like Alexander Dugin using Chaos Magick concepts in his neo-Fascist writings.

It’s kinda analogous to the intersection between punk and Fascism, I guess (as in, the main subculture at first was completely antithetical to those ideals, but then the Nazis moved in and made it their own, and eventually became largely synonymous with it in the mind of the mainstream, much to the chagrin of the old guard)… But I’m not an expert, just talkin’ shit here.
