Wordpress-activitypub is a WordPress plugin that enables ActivityPub protocol support, allowing WordPress sites to interact with decentralized social networks. This release updates compatibility and improves interactivity features.

Key changes in version 6.0.0:

Add in_reply_to Actor to Activity audience

Validate $type integrity for published posts

Add fallback-avatar to reaction dropdown list

Update WordPress requirement to 6.5

Remove deprecated functions, filters, and actions

Make "Follow Me" interactive

Improve wp-config handling for Surge

Remove JavaScript wave effect

Use Interactivity API for Reactions and Remote Reply

Re-add HTML handling for summaries/excerpts

Fix Site-Health WebFinger check

Strip shortcodes from excerpts

Fix editor console warnings and add back compatibility with WP 6.5

Improve plugin's Followers storage and use Interactivity API for Followers

Limit user options to users with ActivityPub capability

Change to use post_content to store Actor-JSON

Not sure yet if this works, but i would imagine its nice to share your wordpress blogs with the fediverse :) and allow fediverse users to comment on it as well.
