enrico weigelt seems to be from germany where no DEI is. so from his standpoint, DEI is weird. i giess for most euros aswell.

Except that's not true. We have the AGG (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungs-Gesetz) which has the same goals and then some as DEI.
