I have never had my phone searched for memes (or at all, for that matter) when entering China.

I had one say they preferred Trump to Hilary because "at least he is helping the USSR expand" so maybe

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You gotta screenshot things like that.

Was worth digging through replies because I forgot about the username

Pretty sure "LeninsOvaries" is satire given such a username. Like "it's not like trump would ever do anything to hurt Gazans" that's got to be satire lol

Feel free to read through the comments. The are committed to the whole act including other weird bad takes

For example, all autistic people and psychopaths should be instituted

Oh wow. Hahahaa

I swear to god, I forget how stupid people are sometimes.

And three people downvoted you. My man got receipts.

Tankies? They are looking for red kind of fascism, not fascist kind of fascism.

China also has horrific human rights abuse and rampant organ farming/trafficking.

Nobody is arguing Israel is good here

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago

So it's the same, but they have healthcare.

Uh huh, because there's no genocide happening in or helped by America.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Whataboutism is not an argument. Also two things can be bad at once, this is not a zero sum game.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

1: Whataboutism is a disputed fallacy specifically because dorks like you will screech about pointing out any form of hypocrisy even in discussions on comparative morality and ethics. It is in this manner its own form of thought terminating cliche.

2: What nation is this post about?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not sure how that's relevant, but I disagree.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

So you've got two genocidal states, one has healthcare (that actually does apply to Uyghurs because it's a cultural genocide/slavery thing not an extermination) and the other wants to start WW3.

Why is the first a shit hole comparable to America? They're clearly different tiers of fascist states. Everyone not a fascist state>China>Shitholes like America

[–] [email protected] 2 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

I'm glad you thoroughly understand the concept of "the lesser evil"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago) (1 children)

There's no such thing as a lesser evil, just priorities.

When there's an evil I can do something about and see firsthand and evil I can't, I don't spend a whole lot of personal effort virtue signaling about the second type when the first is happening down the street.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

If you don't believe in lesser evil like you just said, and you think China is fascist like you just implied, why say "at least ~~the trains run on time~~ they have healthcare"?

It sounds like the kind of virtue signaling you disapprove of.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

A fascist state that treats its in-group better isn't less evil than one that doesn't, it just shows that their in-group at least gets some benefits from their obedience to the state.

If you're going to sell your soul you might as well not be a cheap yet eager purchase, the kind of person that posts an article about America's decline and then goes "at least it's not as bad as this country I've never been to!"

That'd just be fucking embarrassing.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 18 hours ago

What are you assuming about my identity, and declaring about your own identity, that makes you uniquely able to speak about affairs in China, while telling others to shut up about it?

(context: From what I see, you joined this thread to praise China's healthcare.)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Organ harvesting doesn't count as healthcare

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Someday you'll figure out what it means that even the Uyghurs hearing about what American healthcare is actually like are shocked that it isn't propaganda.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"My dad's genocide is more moral than your dad's genocide!"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

That's why they have to put "cultural" in front of it, yeah.

Feel free to explain to a deliberately starved to death Gazan child who saw their dad killed in the street for his property by Israeli soldiers who posted it to YouTube why their situation is just as bad as a Uyghur kid going to a state run propaganda farm I guess.
