Having cars the size of tanks and buildings made of paper-mache doesn't seem to be a good combination....

No but see it's fine and good actually.

It means only higher floors (briefly) or a similarly armored car or a car moving away quickly is safe. This is freedom. And by freedom i mean eating out the the red queen (harder than it sounds!).
