They was warned multiple time

[–] [email protected] 14 points 4 days ago (1 children)

The Houthis warned Philippines that they will attack their ships? When did that happen, or are you full of shit as usual? They are often shooting ships indiscrimately, there were even cases of them hitting aid going to gaza or their allies ships. They literally said that they're terrorizing international shipping canal to show solidarity with hamas, backed by Russian and Iranian rockets.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That's a blockade, yeah. Israel has been doing that on and off to Palestine for like 40 years.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Israel has been blocking international shipping lane/sea? Weird, I thought they only blocked a port without affecting unrelated countries.

Israel has been attacking any ship that aimed for Gaza. The latest case they abducted a dozen Civilians in international waters. before they bombed a civilian ship bound to bring food to Gaza off the coast of Malta.

So yes, Israel has been attacking targets in international water quite recently.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

So internationally that makes them terrorists. What's bizzare to me is how hard it is for lemmy to say the same thing about houthis

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Israel attacking Civillians in international waters make the Houthis terrorists?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago

Lol what? No, why would Israel doing something make someone else terrorists? Clearly I meant the more logical option

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You're being absurd. Who's said houthis aren't terrorists? Literally every major world power has engaged in terrorism on scales that are hard to fathom. The issue is that the word is fucking useless because one man's terrorist is anothers freedom fighter, it's all just perspective.

We can call them belligerent nation currently taking part in genocide and apartide while occupying three of it's neighbors. To me at least that's more descriptive then the same word used for someone who shoots up ten people at a gas station or whatever.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You're being absurd. Who's said houthis aren't terrorists?

Literally multiple people on lemmy, with my own eyes. There was even a comment saying they're the good force in this fucked up world

Bro I'm not about to spend literal working hours digging thru lemmy history looking for few comments amongst ocean of them, be realistic. I've genuinely never even used search function on this app (boost).

You'd be surprised at the shit people say. Are you new to the internet?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Ok so what you're saying is no one here that you know of has refused to call houthis terrorists? So what exactly is the relevance of that particular tidbit of information?

I'm not surprised no, I'm curious as to why you care or what difference the existence of comments that may or may not exist had here now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

... it's like talking to a wall

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

It is, you're claiming someone is doing something they aren't and when pressed you can't cite a single time it has happened nor why that might actually be relevant.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 days ago (2 children)

We warned the Houthis, too, so I guess it's OK to bomb some.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I warned my neighbor that i would shoot him if he tried to pick my back door one more time. He warned me that he would kill my wife. Clearly we are both the same

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Did you warn your mailman not to drop off mail at your criminal neighbor's house or you would blow up his truck?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

No, but I did warn my mailman not to deliver the ammo to my neighbor who has already killed my uncle's entire family and is promising to murder my wife next.

We can play this game forever. The reaction to genocide isn't worse than genocide.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Anything less than genocide goes, I guess.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago

You guess very stupidly, and without evidence. No one suggested "anything goes", and you're once again implying an action that occurred in an attempt to stop genocide is isolated act of aggression.

It doesn't "go", Houthis don't just get to sink ships, that's not the argument being made.

Israel is actively slaughtering children, and they've been warned for well over a year now to stop or ships heading their way will be attacked.

I know you understand the concept, you'll happily attribute the death of civilians indiscriminately bombed in a besieged enclave to the resistance militants and disgustingly call them human shields... But here they aren't living in an open air prison that they aren't allowed to leave, here they took a job on a ship going to a state that's currently unapologetically live streaming a genocide.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Houthis is an armed political and religious movement not an ethnic group within Yemen. Yes, it's ok to bomb them

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

And the people on the ship were Filipinos...

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 days ago (2 children)

I feel sorry for them. The genocide should end it will save everybody lives. The houthis didn't attack any ship during the cease fire so why the countries that have the obligation to do the best to stop it isn't doing all they can?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (3 children)

How are you this ignorant? The houthi basically started as a civil war in Yemen, not some moral high ground against Israel.

Stop re-writing the history to serve your narrative.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Where the Houthis come from doesn't change the fact that they are pretty much the only one territorial actor outside of Palestine standing up militarily for Palestine. That they stand up for Palestine doesn't whitewash what else they are doing, but if any of the leaders of Sunni majority countries would have half a spine, the Houthis wouldn't have to be lauded as being such an exception to the rest.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

The saudis backed up yemen dictator Seleh and started the civil war. You love rewritting history

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

How what you just said is remotely similar to what you said before? So were houthis at war before Israel invaded Gaza or not?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I answer enough questions you asked. Answer my questions first

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Your question makes no sense. Palestine is not part of NATO. What defense obligations are you talking about?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Don't act ignorant. My questions was

Do you believe in international law? Do you acknowledge that Israel is occupying Palestinians , acknowledge all the human right reports showing israel is indeed killing civilians Did you justify collective punishment when you said a big chunk of palestinians support Hamas?

Palestine is not part of NATO. What defense obligations are you talking about?

As members of the UN all states are obligated not to recognize Israel’s sovereignty or territorial claims over the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem. They must not provide aid or assistance

Israel’s internationally wrongful acts give rise to State responsibility, not only for Israel, but for all States.” Pillay said. “All States are obligated not to recognize territorial or sovereignty claims made by Israel over the occupied territories. States must distinguish in their dealings between Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, such as a State must not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel or place its diplomatic representatives to Israel in Jerusalem. States must not render aid or assistance in maintaining the unlawful occupation. Aid and assistance include financial, military and political aid or support

https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2024/10/international-law-obligates-un-member-states-and-international-organizations

Look at how you claim that i am the stupid one when i provide sources from international law about my claims while you keep spreading lies without any sources

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Don't act ignorant. My questions was Do you believe in international law?

What is international law? Are you talking about ICJ, where most important countries are not even member states? Then obviously no, you gotta have only few brain cells left in 2025 to think international law is a thing, otherwhise we would not see such massive war in Europe.

Rest of your comment is pretty stupid too. Most of you seem to live in some imaginary land, completely delusional from real life.

Look at how you claim that i am the stupid one when i provide sources from international law about my claims while you keep spreading lies without any sources

Holy shit this genuinely made me laugh. What next, you're going to provide me source that says using chemical weapons is banned and then ask me where is collective punishment for russia? My brother, get out from your cave

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago

You literally have 60 IQ, don't you?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

You are the ignorant one saudis started the war.

Zionists like you are the master of rewriting history

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Saudi arabia are not zionists you goofball

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Dude, please stop being willfully stupid. Just because Saudis are not allies with Iran or their proxies, does not mean they are zionists.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Stop being willfully stupid. Why saudis protecting israel under what obligation? Why israel have military cooperation with saudis. If you support israel unconditionally you are a zionkst simple as that

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

They are fighting against Iran, not defending Israel. The two hate each other. Clown, not everything that happens in the world happens because of Jews. They have been at each other's throats for a very long time. In fact, almost no one there likes Russia or Iran, you're one of the rare ones defending them.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

They are fighting against Iran, not defending Israel.  How dumb can you be how throwing missiles on israel an attack on the saudis?

Clown, not everything that happens in the world happens because of Jews

Clown nobody blame jews for everything. I hate Muslim idf soldiers as much as all other idf soldiers killing civilians

almost no one there likes Russia or Iran, you're one of the rare ones defending them. I don't defend Russia, Russia started a war of aggression of Ukraine. Iran is a theocratic countries oppressing all oppositions and women. This doesn't mean Iran can't defend itself from Israel . How many Iranian civilians was you willing to sacrifice for implementing a puppet state?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

They was warned multiple time
