Also the second companion, Martha, was a black medical student. One of the best companions too, up there with Amy and Clara if you ask me. Wish she'd gotten more than one season.
Agreed. Definitely wanted to see more of her.
She's in quite a few episodes of Torchwood, I think maybe a main character in one of the final seasons even
