I completely agree with this, but I also remember physical keyboards being kind of a necessity in those early days, you know.
I remember moving back to a full physical keyboard after my first touchscreen and I really didn't feel like touchscreen keyboards were acceptable until I got a windows phone (remember those?).
Still, as much as I would like the option touch keyboard have come a long way, through a bunch of improvement in touch sensitivity, software, autocorrect working in languages other than English too, swiping, so I suppose even someone who kept on to the physical keyboard like me wouldn't make the switch back.
