Their culture is fucked up because it's run by extremists, and extremism thrives under adversity. Israel created Hamas and continues to cultivate extremism in its adversaries. They know they're doing this and they love it, because it gives them continuing "justification" for escalating atrocities. Both sides are shit. It doesn't justify genocide.
