Dozens of volunteers used strainers to sift sand at beaches in northwestern Spain on Tuesday to collect millions of tiny plastic pellets that have washed up in recent days, endangering wildlife.

The PP that leads Galicia was very slow in asking for help.

They're direct descendents of the military Franco dictatorship: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Party_(Spain) so I'm not surprised. They don't care about the environment.
