It sounds like you might have already agreed with his perspective, so he was more palatable while affirming your preconceived notions.

If you watch it, you'll see: (1) facts, (2) illustrations, (3) a discussion of the historical nature of the problem, plus (4) yes I agree insofar as it says "the facts are complex, and we won't solve this issue by not knowing those".

Though someone already convinced me that at best it's a great video from a horribly racist person. When I get a moment I'll edit my original comment.

As for it being palatable, it is equally thus with trying to have discussions here on Lemmy, but at least this video put some effort into it.:-P
