I don't think you can really generalize based off race/location. American culture lends itself to being extremely materialistic, but plenty of people from the US find it disgusting.

It's entitled rich people. It's always entitled rich people. They're the same everywhere.

Fair enough. And as mentioned elsewhere in this thread a lot of Westerners' exposure to mainlanders would be international students who are already going to be selected from the wealthier Chinese people.
