Yeah she's a PhD student and her parents both had (what I assume would be) good paying careers. That being said, Chinese people are still humans and can have an entire range of experiences and outlooks, regardless of class. But you're right that certain ideas are more culturally ingrained.
Ya, for sure they are elite. Plenty of doctors want to come to America and have zero change. You're basically dating a 1%er of China. Don't fuck it up.
Tbf the amount of 1%ers in China is like a third of my whole country's population.
