Vegans, Atheists, Linux.. Fourth horseman is what?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 10 months ago

well you can cross-fuck off.

Atheist? Um no, I think you mean Mormons.
Atheist rarely ever talk about atheism unless a religions mf is already trying to shove their shit down your throat.
Atheist don't go knocking on your fucking door trying to spread the word of the not God.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 10 months ago

This has been my experience also. It takes work for me to find out someone else is atheist like me. But it’s fucking easy to know they are anything else quickly due to context usually lol

[–] [email protected] 8 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (3 children)

Not what I mean. Check out r/Atheism. It's a particular brand of holier than thou, ironically, that I find insufferable.

edit: For those not excelling in reading comprehension, it's about sanctimonity, being holier than thou, an insufferable asshole. Not unlike the way in which I am writing this.

"Why are Linux users constantly shoving Linux down my throat?"

"Lol yeah, just like atheists, they keep forcing me to go to r/atheism and read their arrogant smug attitude."

I'm sure there's a fight club or something where we can engage in the most useful discussion to rock this planet all the while pelted by peanuts.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Dude that's like me walking into a fucking Christian church and complaining that the bread isn't actually Jesus's flesh.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Literally not what I mean. Read again until you get it or give up, I don't give a shit anymore.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

Whatever you say dude.
Let's just ignore the fact "holier than thou" is literally a phrase because of the stereotype of how religious people act and the condescending tone they use when you won't fall in line and believe in whatever God they do. Most atheists couldn't give any less of shit about what you personally believe in. We're not the ones going around trying to save the souls of people who didn't ask.
Let's ignore the fact that literally wars have been fought over religions elitism.
Let's also ignore the fact that you've repeatedly been condescending in this very thread.

case and point

For those not excelling in reading comprehension
Read again until you get it
Go be butthurt elsewhere.
If missing the point was a sport, I crown you the winner.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

If missing the point was a sport, I crown you the winner. Congratulations on missing all of my points or rhetorical devices or deliberate uses of the very thing I'm trying to highlight. Applause.

I am a fucking atheist.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

And the crown of being a condescending prick goes to... 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 YOU 🥳

I am a fucking atheist.

You certainly don't act like one, you act more like an asshole. 💩

I know exactly what you're trying to say and I'm hard disagreeing. Ironically, in all your efforts of you saying I'm missing the point, you've completely missed mine.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 months ago

Fun linguistic fact: The second "m" in Mormons is silent.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

All hail Sithrak!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Agree, but there's a big chunk of atheist that like jerking each other off, vocally telling themselves how superior and smart they are. That's the point being made

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

Yes. But not the majority and going to a dedicated community on Reddit is just asking for it. You'll never have an atheist in the wild start blabbering on about how they don't believe in God without engaging them first. Unlike mormons, vegans, etc. That's my point.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago

I still disagree. Majority of topical subreddits and people are nowhere near as obnoxious. Although, granted, Reddit is a bad place to set bars on quality of discussion.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Cyclists. The four horsemen of objectively superior lifestyles.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

Check, check, check, check. Wow.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 months ago

I don't know how true it is these days, but it used to be Crossfit

Maybe you shouldn't be cringe.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Maybe you should try being original.

For those wondering what I'm talking about, this person is the perfect example.
