What kind of psychopath just throws food in the fridge without covering it first? Do you want it to dry out and taste like the lining on the refrigerator walls?

You could always put it in a (glass) container, or wrap it in aluminum foil

I mean you could also wash your fridge if you food starts to taste like you fridge. thst drying thing is extremely valid tho.

and it's not like I would ever actually clean my fridge, but my food doesn't get any taste either
