Bathroom renovation revealed this black staining in the ceiling lumber next to a vent pipe. Is it a problem? (The PVC pipe is new.)

I seriously suck at Lemmy. I deleted this post I guess?

Your post is not deleted, or at least my app (Connect for Android) still shows it to me. I would point out, however, that Google photos shows your real name, which you may not have intended.

Also if these are not load bearing beams ( they have been almost cut throughto allow the pipe going through), make the gap wider and put some isolation around the pipe. But only if the pipe is the case of the water problem

Nah the post is fine, I just don't have the slightest idea if it problematic colouring or not.
