So the rumour mill is saying that FOM was trying to get Ben Sulayem replaced, and the allegations of him meddling with Alonso's penalty were helping them. But a majority of FIA member clubs reaffirmed that they voted him into office and still stand behind him. So FIA won that scuffle.
