Black Wedgeday
- Brush: Zenith B8 (XL aluminium handle, 28 mm ร 57 mm boar)
- Razor: Zwilling J. A. Henckels Friodur 72-V (13/16", quarter hollow or near wedge, stainless steel)
- Lather: Spearhead Shaving Company Seaforth! Black Watch

Black Watch is such a trickholable scent, and it seems impossible to have a bad shave with the Highland base and the heavy, smooth Frio wedge.
Black Watch quadfecta; ๐
I do have the bath soap, maybe I should quadhole it ๐ค
Oh, I hadn't thought of that! What a terrific scent for a bath soap!

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
It is a Wedgeday, but I really prefer hollow-ground razors and I wanted to get a second shave in with this 6/8 Dubl Duck. The shave quality was excellent, but I can tell that this is not "my" edge. Confirmation bias anyone?
Fantastic lather choice today, good sir ๐
Great minds etc. ๐

First go with this Lather Catcher and I love it! I just honed up one of the 3 wedge blades this evening. I could probably stand to dial it in a little more. All in all, fantastic shave though. I just love Lather Catchers.
@[email protected] and @[email protected]
"Pinging" you two to address your comments on the mail call. Similar in feel to handling a GEM, but with a much gentler blade. Awesome shaver.
Yay lather catcher!
Does it feel like a Rolls Razor?
I haven't tried the Rolls yet. I'm saving that up for LG ๐
Makes sense.
I should mention that of the two blades, one was honed by me, the other one was NOS. Feel free to hone the blades if you want. I don't remember whether @[email protected] honed them
@whosgotthepudding, I honed the blade that was on the razor after trying it. I intended to hone the other blade, but I'm easily distracted these days. I guess the one I honed was the NOS one. It felt a little rough and didn't look that great under the scope. I put a simple 12K edge on it that took pretty well as I recall. I used that edge in last year's Lather Games. [ And I, literally, just realized that June 1 is tomorrow :-0 ]
I guess the one I honed was the NOS one.
That would make sense

Better check again ๐
Good call! I did actually check the calendar. I've thought it was 5/31 all day.
