I don't know what his mother feels about him now, but she used to have a drug problem, and JD was essentially kidnapped by his absolutely insane "meemaw" who raised him to be a good little conservative shitheel. She's dead. According to Vance, after they went through her house postmortem, they found something like 16 loaded handguns secreted in various places.

I believe his mother is still alive though. I'm going to see if I can find any information about her today. Beverly Carol nee Vance.

Edit: Looks like his mom was at his RNC speech, so fuck her.

Honestly the story is way better than I would have thought. It's crass but honestly not bad. Now how many brain worms does it take to get from Meemaw's stance to the GOP's? Like fuck he should have stuck with meemaw.
