Several major lawmakers, from Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez to President Joe Biden, made mention of the atrocities in Gaza during the first night of the Democratic National Convention on Monday. But among the crowd and behind the scenes, efforts to cover up mention of the genocide were still underway.

During Biden’s speech, a Jewish delegation unfurled a large sign revealing the text “Stop Arming Israel.” The effort was quickly stopped by nearby attendees, who blocked the sign with “We [Heart] Joe” sticks while another attendee in a row above the protesters attempted to snatch the banner away.

Another attendee, two rows away from the protesters, used one of the pro-Biden signs to repeatedly hit a woman wearing a hijab on the head.

I decided to do a test. This is the same news outlet as the article I posted yesterday, that one being critical of Trump. It was massively upvoted, lots of comments and conversation. Great!

Then there's this one. Similar topic, but not even criticizing Biden or Harris, the first line made that clear. But it's criticizing people at the DNC that were, as one major example, physically violent toward people holding a "Stop Arming Israel" sign. Horrible stuff, the guy should be arrested for assault.

And, what happens? No comments after half an hour and massively downvoted.

So, yeah, y'all fail the test. You're blatant hypocrites and it's sad.

Because the headline sounds like the DNC did something and your summary clarifies it was a couple assholes in the crowd.

Then the video shows the hits, and the top of those signs are flexible as hell. She doesn't even turn around or seem like it registers.

I'm pro Gaza as fuck, but you said you wanted to know why this is being down voted.

It's because even people that agree with you that stopping the genocide is important can see this is overblown.

So, signs being flexible means attempts to get rid of and cover them don't matter? And hitting someone with a sign purposefully (two people really, since it also hits the woman next to her) is fine if you're unable to get leverage to hit harder? They're just playful taps, I suppose?

it was a couple assholes in the crowd.

Pretty clear I'm not defending them ..

But the headline makes it seem like a violent assault, and frankly I don't think I ever want to see your comments anymore already

How does the headline seem like any form of assault? It doesn't even mention an assault. You have to read it to find out what it's referring to. And it's quite obvious from the first paragraph that the "worst way possible" is referring to people at the DNC trying to cover up and get rid of any form of opposing views.

Sounds more like you want to obfuscate, for some reason. Those "couple of assholes" should be called out, not glossed over.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with you, but yes, you're completely correct. OP is a fucking idiot.

You, by default, support genocide since trump supports it.
