Try posting “Maybe let’s not be literal genociding fascists.” in any city sub discussing homeless people or r/europe discussing roma.
From the stories I've heard about Roma, they've worked very hard to be so disliked.
That's cause most stories you hear about them are based on hearsay, stereotypes, the effects of being pushed to the fringe of society, and racism.
I was thinking of all the stories from people who've been victims of a crime perpetrated by them, or social workers etc who have dealt with them.
But sure, I guess that's all hearsay.
This is exactly how racist people talk about African Americans...
It's genuinely frightening to me that so much European rhetoric against Roma people sounds like 1950s US-era rhetoric against desegregation. Like the US is incredibly racist, and Europeans still somehow find ways to shock me over how they talk about an entire ethnic group.
Or treatment of indigenous people. "We need to take their children away so they can be educated in a safe environment (and not grow up like that)" is not uncommon.
Encouraging people to take away a group's children for the purpose of destroying that group is a violation of the Genocide Convention btw.
It gets easier of course when they don't focus on the racial aspect but instead pick some other factor: we need to steal their children because they are poor, these children deserve better!

What's the statement being disagreed with? This is just "all political opinions are valid" bullshit. There are some truly horrific political standpoints out there.
I got a 30 day suspension from /r/news for calling Antifa “a violent organization”. Got down voted to hell and called a Nazi sympathizer… I’ve only ever voted Democrat.
Is Antifa an actual organization? I thought it was kind of an ad hoc moniker.

I pointed out that Kyle Rittenhouse had multiple people trying to kill him, and was actively running away from all three people he shot.
That went well.
How I unpopularly say it “Kyle Rittenhouse is a dumb sack of shit that did us a favor and took out 3 other even worse sacks of shit”. He didn’t go to prison because he accidentally did society a favor, but a lot of people are scared to admit that.

And antifa can be violent, though it's not really an organization. Wikipedia describes it as a movement. And given the fact that fascists have ruined every country where they took power, violence against them is wholly justified.
But their idealized version of political control is just fascism by a different group of ultra wealthy people

4channer likely leaving out the part where it wasn't "everyone who disagrees with me" but actually just "Nazi scum" and he was offended. Nazis love to play the victim card publicly while wishing death on minorities in private.

I taunted a anon about using reddit and the next day my IP range was banned.
Except Reddit bans you if you so much as suggest someone stubs their toe. The rules against "advocating violence" have become so broadly interpreted in the last few years.
Lemmy is significantly more tolerant of this kind of posting
