Just had to rollback after the latest upgrade caused the site to crash Still investigating. I've rolled back now. Apologies for the inconvenience. The site would have been down about an hour or so. I am so terribly sorry I wasn't around to monitor it for a while. I wanted to upgrade to fix a bug that is causing people to have trouble replying to private messages.

Is the rollback causing issues with federation? I've noticed a comment I made on a lemmy.world community doesn't show up if I go look at it locally, and I see comments on my post locally at lemmy.world that I can't see from yiffit

Unfortunately there was a 1 hour data loss which causes some posts and comments not to show up on our instance. I will have decouple the database from the main server so that no data is lost when we rollback due to any technical errors.

For now, most importantly, I need to avoid making upgrades at 12am. My sincerest apologies U_U
